Temp guage flat and Coolant Temp "---"
Someone earlier mentioned they had their P1028 code Fixed for free under warranty. I'm not sure send someone mentioned that it was covered under the powertrain warranty.
I'm trying to understand what "powertrain" warranty stands for. I'm outside of the 36,000 mile warranty, but under the five year 36,000 mile warranty.

No offense meant but you're getting me more confused.
First off, "five year,36000 mile warranty" Do you mean 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty?
Also mixing togeather emissions and powertrain warranty is very confusing.
You may need to start this post over and state exactly what you are looking to find out. How to get the thermostat fixed? Or understanding what the warranty covers. Might be best to start your own thread.

I hate to sound like a broken record.............. but the SEARCH function at the top of the page was put there for a purpose.
If one used it, one would find several references to people getting their thermostats replaced under the 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

@chevyorange, have you gotten the information about your warranty answered? If not, send me a private message with your VIN and I can doing some digging for you.

Hey all. I've had this same issue, but my car is throwing a PO135 code, I've replaced the T-stat, temp sensor and flushed the system. Still no temp showing, and now noticing that the fan on the rad doesn't ever shut off. The CEL is also still on...
I feel like I'm chasing gremlins here. The code is different, but the symptoms are exactly the same... I'm stumped.

Pumps circulate fluids. I just plugged P0135 into Google and found out that is a O2 sensor heater element code. Oh, and lots of diagnostic and definitions too.
