Those LCA bolts!!

There is a distinct difference in the OEM and the revised version of the LCA rear bushing bolt!! That is the shank goes further inthru the bushing and up to the cage nut, eliminating the area for crud to build up in the threads



Bottom bolt, note the middle of the bolt is thin due to the stretch of that extra 180 degrees of torque, while the top bolt has it’s shank in the same area, so grease or anti seize them well!

Yet it is one of the few bolts GM does not want you to discard and use a new one. Strange.

Oh, you can reuse them, I just wanted to point out the difference in the bolts and the advantage of the longer shank.

Interesting. Mine were in great shape, I reused them. I had a new one just in case, but didn't think to compare.

And, yes. Lots-o-antiseize.
