I've had it throw the code a couple of times as well, with an unmodified 2007. Both times on the highway, both times while accelerating.

Hello all, I have the same problem happening right now. Stock 2006 LT2 68K miles and the TC light comes on every time I stomp on the gas to pass. Then the shifting gets completely clunky followed by the engine light. After a day or so it all goes away but pops up several days later. I've even had it happen when in cruise control on the highway.. any solutions?

I also have had the power shut off when I hit those fantastic Chicagoland potholes...

Car dealers are like politicians dishonest or would not have gotten in the bussiness.

A little over a week on this problem. Since I am over 38000 (about 2 months out of warranty) I did not bother to take it to the dealer. I called and they said sensor problems do not fall under the drivetain coverage. Details on the issue are at this thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/problems-service-repairs-42/new-member-problem-36431/

I don't trust the dealer closest to me here anyway since I have been getting the run around on a tire pressure sensor problem that I have been to the dealer three times for (starting before the warranty ran out). If I do resort to dealer help in the future, I will drive to the other side of town and see if I have better luck there.

Don't get me wrong, I love my HHR. But some dealers give the rest a bad rep. So I think forums like this are a great place to find reliable help.

You already addressed this problem for me, see thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36431
I ordered the parts per your info. But I do appriciate your help and interest. Your procedure looks very detailed and simple for when the solenoids do come in. Thanks

I just wanted to let Lee3333 know its probally not the add ons causing this issue. My HHR is 100% stock and developed the same symtoms at about the same mileage as his friends car.
