Yeah I think they mandated TPMS in '08 so you would have to do some computer magic to get rid of the feature. I say just keep the system and overfill the tires to about 34 or so to give some wiggle room so your car isnt flashing at you. My TPMS is pretty simple and is located in the storage compartment of my drivers door. It is shiny silver and when I stick it on the valve stem little numbers on a white stick pop up and tell me the tire pressure! YAY for 2006!
