tire sensor trouble
hi everyone.
I just joined and got a problem with my 2011 ls.
i bought 4 new tires and about a month later keep getting add air to lf tire on the dic.
I add air, the message disappears but reappears a. first it was after a copuple of days but now its after a couple of hours.
at first the tire did need air but not lately
is the sensor the problem?

Have you checked the tire pressure with a gauge, rather than using the TPMS indication alone? You could have a slow leak from a foreign object like a nail, etc.
If you have been checking the pressure with a gauge, and the tire is not losing air, then the TPMS sensor on that wheel becomes the prime suspect.
While the sensors have internal batteries that are supposed to last five years or so, they do go bad.
Try out our "Search" function for "TPMS Problems" and you'll find a few threads to read.
P.S. to the forum!

Did the tire store reset the TPMS positions? On a 2011 it MUST be done using a special tool. They may have thought it was a PT Cruiser that resets itself (happened to me).
Check all of your tires, since the position may be incorrect.
