My thought, and it's a long shot, is that a PO may have replaced a harness in the fuse block, with a harness from some other model(not HHR). That may explain why #33 is affecting the transmission.

He was saying that the codes cleared after the fuse change. That is as expected.
If you remove that fuse the computer will stay in open loop mode, meaning that the ECM is no longer in charge. The transmission functions with no computer assistance, the engine runs like an old fashioned gas-guzzler in need of a tune up.
So, I would inspect the TCM connectors and wires. The typical way people destroy the TCM is by letting a hot wire touch the case.
I don't trust that youtube fix, for one thing it is not an HHR secondly there is a ground wire in the connector that goes directly to ground; if the youtuber was smart enough he would have checked for continuity from the TCM case to ground. And cautioned about getting that wire near a hot wire.

correct. The engine is running rough since it's not using the o2 sensors or maf sensor. I'm surprised the engine still runs without the maf sensor. I'm going to check ground g107 tomorrow. How would I test the tcm to see if it's working?
