Torque wrench: clicker or needle?
Lets be honest about this, How many shade tree mechanics have there torque wrench calibrated every year? A clicker style torque wrench will go out of cal if you just let it sit on a shelf without backing it off.......
A beam style will hold it calibration a lot long if its just sitting, lets be clear if you just toss it in a tool box you will bend the needle and mess it up. well cared for beam style wrenches your bending the actual wrench arm. As long as that arm has not been damaged it will pretty much bend the same year after year. So for someone that only uses a torque wrench once in a great while a beam style might just be better.
Its just my 2 cents..... I've used both with good results.
