IF that is the one that was really bad, it should start reading after you travel a mile, or so. The question is: were the positions actually set?
Since 3 of the wheels are displaying something it wouldn't be the RDO fuse.
If the radio display is out it is something in the HU, if it is the backlight on the radio it sould be related to the rest of the backlights on the instrument panel.

You need to do the Lock+unlock thing to get int learn mode to use the EL-50448. There is no other way. Maybe, if you can find a competent technician a Tech2 scanner can do it, I don't know.
There are tools that can extract the serial numbers from the sensors then insert the serial numbers into the RCDLR in the correct position.
Did that translate clearly enough?

Ok, so I need to use the fob. So I decided to just start over ... I mean way back from square one. I checked the batteries in all of my fobs, I got 6 fobs. Everyone now has 3 Volts or higher. I then programmed three at a time to my daily driver Maroon 2008 HHR. I then tested that they all lock and unlock the doors, they do. Then I tested to see if they put the TPMS system into learn mode ... two of them did. The rest did not. Well it looks as though some of these may be from ebay/amazon and do not have the tpms learn capability.

Yep, they are different boards. Some of the off brand boards send a "low Batt" signal.
I guess that's why I usually say to get the Genuine fob, the Dorman programmer works on them. So if you get the Dorman with a generic fob (no way to tell without looking) you should spend a couple dollars on a Genuine fob.
