"Ha sto be electrical" - sorry, what do you mean?

Yes, disconnecting the battery momentarily will rest the condition, but it will re-appear if the problem is not fixed.

Just figured it out - "Has to be electrical"!!! Not enough coffee for me this morning I guess.

Ok - are you looking for assistance or just commenting? If you are looking for assistance, please read the previous suggestions for some things to check, then report back with what you find.

Mine did that. The T/C light would come on intermittently. Eventually the check engine light did come on with a camshaft position error. I changed the camshaft position actuators and it solved the problem. It may or may not be the same on yours.

Get the codes pulled.

Have the battery checked.

x2 on the codes, and the battery.

The hard/abrupt shifting can be generated by numerous problems, so it's important to determine the cause first via the code. No sense speculating and start throwing parts at it hoping to find the right cause.

I feel my transmission hard shift while I'm driving. I know I have a leaky seal but it's not that bad yet. Although I'm trying to find time to take it in soon. I do have a CEL but it's for the Canister emissions vent solenoid thingy...I don't speak car-eeze like most of you
It's P0455-P0456.
I had the car for many years without a problem. Lately it seems like several things are happening. It's only at 150K. I'd think that's still young for a car.
