Hi, im new to this forum, i was wondering if someone might be able to assist me on my 2006 HHR. Parked. In garage ready to leave car would not go into reverse. Finally after a min between shifting from drive to reverse it popped, rather jerked into reverse. It has happened about twice in a two week period. Can someone pleSe tell me what i might be dealing with. Thank you very much

 

Need some more info such as mileage and any transmission maintenance done. Also are there any noticeable trans. fluid leaks. Low fluid level could cause slow gear engagement.

A bit more info is needed as the fireman stated already, but from the sounds of it, a low fluid level or the need for fluid and filter change may be the culprits.
