Turn off content theft system?

I've lost use of the key fobs on a '06 model due to poor soldering on the fobs.

Until new ones are purchased, is there a way to turn off the content theft system? Every time I unlock the door with the key the horn alarm goes off.

try to resolder them. If it's around the battery holder.....I did it using a cold fusion solder devise and they have worked perfectly since. there is a thread on here (I beleive) that walks you thru the process. And if nothing else, they don't work anyway so it would not hurt to try.

See Jeff's post below for soldering the keyfob....thx Jeff

Just manually push the lock(s) down while the door(s) is open, or lock the car using the key. This should not engage the Pass III system that the HHR is equipped with.
