VATS delete Please

2006 HHR with 2.4l Does not start with key but can be started by by-passing the solenoids. BCM is acting up. Fog lights come on intermittently, AC blower does not respond to control knob anymore. AC controller works fine in another HHR. AC blower works fine if I disconnect it from the controller and just hook it up to the battery. Windows, headlights, signals, etc. all still work. Engine STARTS and RUNS for 2 seconds if I manually jump the solenoids (fuel pump and crank). Crank/run and fuel terminals remain energized after shutdown. Key relearn DOES NOT WORK. Security light never goes out.
I WANT THE SECURITY SYSTEM DEFEATED. This car is too old and beat to go installing new computers from dealers and having them programed. I have HP Tuners. I've swapped HHR engines. I've built custom cars. If anyone here can assure me that if I spend $100.00 for a license (HP Tuners) and delete the VATS that the engine will stay running until I shut it off, then I will fix this thing tonight.

Seems you have a communication problem, low battery voltage, or the under hood fuse box halves are loose.

12.4 volts - at the starter motor. 10'ish while cranking. All fuses box connections have already been cleaned. Starts right up by energizing the starter motor solenoid manually. Runs fine for 2 seconds. BCM shuts it down. I want the BCM to not be able to shut it down.

If I could I would just run a wire directly from the battery to the fuel pump and ignition system, with a toggle switch. Like I did with several older cars that I drove for years without further issues.

12.4 volts is a dead battery in HHR battery terms, has the ignition recall work be done ? You can tell by the ignition key it should have a small hole for the key ring.

And the key needs to have the circle with a plus inside on it. Yes, sounds like a dead battery, not enough voltage to run the computers properly.

Starts and runs with the same key since 2006. But only for 2 seconds, and only if I short the crank relay . Or use a screwdriver from the main battery wire directly to the solenoid on the starter motor. The key alone doesn't start it. Why would it start and run if it was a battery issue? (not saying it's impossible but just asking out of curiosity)
I'll post a video tomorrow to show what I mean. Have to shoot and edit it first.

The auto parts store will perform a FREE battery load test and charging system test.

It is NOT VATS it is PassKey3. to begin with.. Has the recall been done? Have you checked fuses #8 & #10 on the BCM? Has anybody messed with anything lately?

If you say it’s the same key since 2006, then I suspect the ignition recall has not been preformed, indicating the ignition switch is probably toast!
