Visor Flop

The sun was in my eyes so I flipped the visor down & I hear this little cracking sound. Now the visor wont stay up!? It's like the clamp is too loose & when the visor is clipped in it wont stay in the up position (out of my way).
Anybody else experience this? Do I have to buy a new visor assembly?

Well you can try wrapping some tape around the part that clips into the roof mount, this might help hold it up. It seems that everybody who has had this issue ends up at the parts department for a new one.

I tired the tape method but you have to put a pretty small piece ot tape in there or it wont snap back into it. I'm searching the HHR used parts websites now

Best thing to do, no simple permanent fix other than to replace the whole thing. They just don't make 'em like they used to.
