Washer Pump

Guys my wiper water pump isn't working. I checked and I found out theres no power to the wsw pump fuse in the underhood fuse box (15A). The 10A wpr fuse in the bcm side has power. The wsw relay in the underhood clicks when the button is pressed. I saw the wiring diagrams and I figured if the 15A wsw fuse doesn't have power then neither the rear or the from washers work. Same things happening here. What do I do next?

Regards,
Allen

It could be the multi switch, it could be loose ground or wire in connector, it could be the fuse looks ok but actually isn’t, test it with a VOM meter for continuity.

I checked the fuse for continuity, it came out fine.
Where is this connected to and how much voltage comes in? I want to test it by wiring it externally to check the pump system.

You can check the pump by just disconnect the wire connector and apply power to one terminal and ground to the other, it should squirt fluid on the windshield , if not then there’s something else wrong as I said a loose wire, or the multi switch on the right side of the steering column

So I can just take a wire from the positive battery jumper terminal then? I just want to make sure too much power doesn't burn the thing.

The schematic shows It is 12 Volt.
"hot at all times" in the fuse box means it is battery power.
That motor is reversible, so polarity does not matter.

Yes, but check for squirting on the rear window too. It seems the pump assembly sends the fluid to the front or back depending on polarity. Or just don’t connect the hoses. Wouldn’t hurt to check it both ways.

I checked both the rear and the front. They weren't working.
I wired the pump externally and it turns out the things had rusted and somehow the motor shaft was seized so the assembly was heating up quite a bit. Took it apart, sprayed on some penetrating oil, and after about 30 minutes I spun it round with my hand until it felt free. I connected it again and tested to see it worked!
I put it back in, and it's perfect.
Thanks a lot,
Allen

Mine seized up too. I was unable to get it to run.🙁

Replaced it with ACDelco, now confident it will last awhile.😁
