Water Leak - Rear Seat Back - Both Sides

Hello all. Just wanted to say thanks for all the valuable information in this forum. Before I ever made an account here, I found the butyl patch information when I had a front floor board leak. New house and new baby on the way, so being able to fix it without going to a dealer was much appreciated.

I have read through all the water leak posts and cannot find anything to help with mine.

2007 HHR with sunroof and roof rack.

The water leak is on both sides of my back seat. The majority of the water is on the seat backing and not the seat itself. I checked the door seal and found it was loose at the top rear corner where it has a small rivet. Some sealant fixed that but it didn't stop the leak.

Any ideas?

Sunroof drains, they run from the back of the sunroof to the rear of the car.

This picture shows the right side drain tube locations. There are also left side drain tubes. You may have a tube that has come off.

Do not just blow compressed air into the drains! It could blow the drain line hose off of the connector, then the headliner will have to be removed to repair. Don't ask me how I know this.

Start with the easiest: look for debris in the corners; then use some sttff fishing line to run down the tubes. If the tubes have disconnected you will have to take the headliner down.

Here is one that came up with a search of "sunroof drain" using the THREADS option:\https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...grommet-65572/

Got a lot more using the GOOGLE option.
For those that have not explored the site: there is a dropdown in the search box to choose from 4 options.
