Definately no warranty claim possible, even if there was any kind of extended warranty by dealer or other.

Didn't you notice them before you took possesion?

I did notice that but it was not a big deal for me.

So to summarize the previous posts:
The hole piece was painted when the first owner bought that car. Normally, it should have the same color than the radio.

Is this correct? Do you think there is any way to fix this problem? How would you do that?

I will go to my dealer on Friday and talk about that problem.

I have that piece brand new because I tried to paint mine. I had a run and went to wipe it off and messed it all up. It goes for $60 on gmpartsdirect.com. The part number is 15844002 and is the stock gray. I will sell it to you for $35 shipped. I fixed the other one with wood dash kit.

Lunch and meetings!

I painted mine blue as well. The stock color should be the same color as the change holder/window switch bezel (medium greyish.)

The center stack panel pops out pretty easily and with a little sand paper, primer, paint and patience you can fix it up easily. You could also purchase a new one, $60 doesn't sound too bad, about the same price as some primer, paint and sand paper.

By the way, those are almost the same problem areas that I had when I first painted my piece. Seems oddly strange.

What specific part is number 15844002? There is no picture at gmpartsdirect.com!

Thanks! 60$ or 35$ of you sounds great!

cames with the plate, vents, plastic harness for fog lights, dimmer, passenger seat belt warning and hazard button, and screws. I can take it out of plastic sleeve if you want better pics.

In my opinion that is the paint lifting and I have painted for over thirty years. I see a mod that was not properly prepared. You will need to remove the waterfall and sand and paint it or get an interior kit and cover it...
