Maybe. That's probably a polyurethane in a caulking tube. If that is the seal in question, OP needs to get to a body shop for that information.

Seems like something that is clipped into place, not caulking. (Will provide pictures if needed) Although I am curious if it would work as a replacement. Planning on getting car wrapped so I'm not sure if that would cause problems.

 

I'm referencing the black strip that runs from the door insulation to the back of the hatch separating the roof from the rear quarter panel.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. You should take it to a body shop then. They'll know what you need. I really have a strong feeling it comes in a tube. There are no diagrams that show this as a "part".

That strip is in fact rubber, not butyl. It’s not in any parts list, it gets replaced with seam sealer.

 

I still don't know what we are talking about. The side panel to roof joint is held together with "Metal Panel Bonding Adhesive" . The door has a rubber gasket, the windows have a hard rubber gasket.

 

In this photo the pine needles are pointing to the black rubber strip from the 1/4 panel to the roof panel. Have a close look you’ll see we’re it’s deteriorating

 

Thank you so much, I figured this was the case since I couldn't find any part numbers or diagrams referencing this. Its got a bit of bare metal exposed inside the gap so I've got alot of touching up to do.

 

If you can tape that rubber back from the roof, mask off the 1/4 panel side and then the roof, scuff the rust bare metal and spray on Eastwood’s rust encapsulator , then prime and paint. You should be good for a couple more years
