Weatherstripping replacement??

The collision repair manual does not mention any rubber, only the bonding adhesive. If there is a rubber gasket in there it is major surgery involving drilling and redoing plug welds and forcing bonding adhesive to let go with a grinder.

It's there for looks the top edge is sealed. Don't worry about leakage

I think it's odd how much wear and tear there seems to be in that area on my car for whatever reason. I'll be sure to take this advice. thank you so much

there wouldn't happen to be a part number would there? planning on replacing most of the weatherstripping and this would be the ideal place to start.

Take that schematic in to local Gm dealership they should be able to get a part number for left or right side, I doubt they are available

Good find, Oldblue, I didn't expect to see weatherstripping on that diagram. Yes, both sides are unavailable, I even Googled the supersession numbers too.
