Weird message

I saw a different message on my DIC the other day "low traction" and was wondering if anyone else has seen this and what were the conditions when you saw it.

I was making a right turn on asphalt streets and needed to go WOT when I noticed a car coming in my lane (he must have changed lanes when I looked away), my tires never broke loose and I just kept accelerating to 45mph. By that time the message was gone.

Well the car's computer thought that you broke traction. Thats why you got the message.
Try it with wet roads.Spin the tire(s) and you should get that message.

Well you've got me there.Maybe you just hit the right conditions this time to trigger the warning. Ex. Only 1 wheel broke traction. I'm not really sure how the system is set up, but at the least it does appear to be working to some degree.
Maybe someone else will chime in here with some better knowledge on how it actually works.

Mine isnt always right. I can feel the tires spinning sometimes but no light comes on or no message. Sometimes i just get low traction light and sometimes just the message. So it seems to work sometimes and sometimes not.

ALSO, If you goose it in a turn, then you will get 2 types of messages. It will go into temp limp mode also with not so much power.
