Hi all, got a 2010 HHR LT, 55k mi., started making a servo/whine sound when turning the wheel last week. Sounds as if it's an "inside the car" noise. Is this the likely pre-cursor to a PS motor failure? Thanks!

Well it may be the start of something, but your ears may just be sensitive enough to hear the faint whirring of the steering motor because it does live "inside" the vehicle.

If it's really noisy, then your motor may be on the way out, here's a great thread on replacing it yourself and saving money over having your dealer do the work.
