Whistling noise

Hello everyone. I am a brand new owner of a 2007 HHR LT. As soon as I drove off the dealership lot and reached 45 mph there was a whistling noise from my drivers door window area. I drove back to the dealership and they had my vehicle for a day and a half. Everything they tried to do to solve the problem didn't work. They than test drove 2 other 2007s from the lot and they too had the whistling noise. They called GM tech support and they really didn't have a answer either. It seems to be happening with 2007 models. I would appreciate hearing from anyone experiencing the same problem. The next step would be to fight corporate GM.

Thanks
Mark

It's the gremlin living in the door gasket. But actually, it could be your mirrors.

They checked the mirrors and the weather stripping

I have the same problem it is your side mirror cap. It comes lil loose and wind whirls in them creating whistle. While not driving, push gently in front if it jiggles, then it it. or while driving place hand on side of it where the cap meets the mirror whistle should stop.

I don't have a whistle sound but in the same area mine makes a sound like something flapping in the wind, like a piece of paper shuddering in the wind, only muffled a little bit. I can't find anything loose. I just ignore it. Might be the weather stripping. Only starts doing it above about 50mph.
