Yakima Roof Rails Install Info Please

Hello I have an 08 LT Panel, I paddle a 17' kayak and need a rack to haul it. I have no factory rack and I do not think one would safely support the long boat. I bought 60" long Yakima rails as used on pick up caps, they've holes every 6"s. I may use 3/16" stainless pop rivets or rivnuts to mount the rails. My question is, are there reinforcing members running across the underside of the roof? If so I would like to locate fasteners in them. Can anyone verify their presence and location please? I do not want to remove the headliner, but may have to. Thank you for any help and or comments.

You'll have to remove the headliner. There are structural supports in the roof but no one is going to have any measurements as to exactly where they are.

Does this help? Note that the cross rails are not connected to the roof panel. Probably the reason for the flutter when you open only the rear windows while driving.

Thank you Sir, Yes the image and information helps a lot. That they are not attached to the roof panel, will required some more deliberation. Perhaps the headliner will have to be removed.
