Ecotec Vs. Ecotec

Ok going home from work i pulled onto U.S. 1 and Hwy. 50 in Titusville. A silver Cobalt was racing around, I wanted to get home in a hurry to see my little girl before her bed time so i was going a lil fast. We ended up side by side and i had to laugh at his car, no cat so it was stupid loud, every Wal-Mart sitcker you can think of and flooring it at every light. So we get to a red light and he honked 3 times so we went for it. I pulled on him so hard it was funny. I was 4 cars ahead when i slowed.I asked him what engine and he said 2.2, so i guess the cobalt and HHR have different horsepower ratings? I just think it was funny. Im bone stock with painted rims and no engine mods......yet.

Shouldn't be a surprise. Stock for stock a SS has 30 hp on the GT. You'd better win. Be careful who you pick on, though. I know a lot of 300 whp GTs out there, some 400 whp ones and a few 600+ whp GTs.

Then it wasn't a GT. Must have been a turbo lite, a 180 hp PT. They are automatic and not that quick.

It will say Limited Edition or Touring Edition on the left side of the hatch and 2.4L Turbo on the right side. The good thing about the turbo lite is you can use regular gas and if you add the Stage 1 upgrade hp jumps up to 240 hp. Then premium gas is required.

Still, a win is a win.
