I have a tuned auto, and my thinking on this would be to do the engine mounts first. I installed mine and it seems to help out in the traction dept..
Makes the launches more solid, as it takes all the slop out of the stock mounts, and does take some of the torque steer out of it. "Moon"

I would have to agree with
moon about the mounts
Xtreme on maybe a sticker radial or drag radial you can leave on.
And
Breadfan who is really learning the hptunes amazingly well.
Breadfan them ya gonna start a shop amd tune for others.
I would love to do that in my area some day.
Seems my customers wanting nitrous or blowers on there streetrods and musclecars is slowly going down
Looks like tje future is in tuning the computers.

Ever consider adding a little weight in tje front bumper somewhere
More weight more traction and I have always Gould fbe heavier the car tne more consistent it is

 

I added drag bags last week. Seems I could get about a tenth or so on launch. It helped keep the nose down.

I installed the motor mount on Sunday, so I can't tell you anything till this weekend.

If you want a better launch, need better tires.

to test bags last week I just gunned one run. The track guys said I was still spinning at 100'.but the Mustang never had a chance.

 

Thanks for the props bigjacksauto, but I'm not going to misrepresent myself since my tunes have not seen track time on my car or any other yet. I just have this concept that you can graph out the limits and tune for specific tires/suspension just like you can tune for an intake.

 

Too bad your across the country... Real time tuning between runs, is how its done.

Thanks guys. good info. I already have a sticky tire. I am running the mickey Thompson et street radials 2. I have run Hoosier slick drag radials. But I like the Mickey Thompson et streets. I might try the M and H drag radial next.

Depends on the track. My best has been 8.62 1/8 mile, with a 2.047 60ft. I have ran 13.55 at 101, at a crappy uphill slow track, with a 2.128 60ft. This weekend i went to another 1/8 mile, it was very hot and humid. It usually already is a slow track due to altitude. I was running a tenth off from normal for the track. But its how consistent it was that blew me away. For you drag racers, It ran 8.837, 8.839, 8.836, 8.838, then ran a 8.855 with wheel spin.

 

Some pretty good times there. Are u tuned for 93 or an ethanol blend?
