I'm working with K&N right now. Not sure of the timeframe yet because SEMA is this week. Once all the measurements are done, it will still take a while before it hits actual production. As soon as something is locked down, I'll post details.

Actually, the HHR is designed for 5000mi oil change intervals.
But it's your call.

I religiously change the oil at 3000.

I always have too. In fact, I had a 1985 Jeep CJ-7 that I changed the oil in every month! (It was actually coming out "clean" !!!) I did check into the HHR reccomendations though, and feel they are valid. I'm going to wait the full 5K between changes - monitoring the oil visually.

Remember - the transmission is actually sealed! You can't change the fluid in there if you tried. Much research has been done regarding this, and I don't believe Chevy would have set them up this way unless they trusted the results.

Still...let your conscience be your guide!

Majority of new cars are sealing the Automatic transmission Fluids area. Just think the more reasons to bring your car in, the more money they can make.

First time i drove this thing on the road was sorta dispointed, Until today.
Man I pushed her to 160km/h and it was so smooth. oh yeah this car is slowe at the start, but it keeps going and then it FLYS,, haha i love it, . Smoked a honda today also.

my 2.4 manual 5 speed the gov kicks in at 118 or 119 that's on 95 in VA
