Google maps has photos of Mexican and Canadian roads, but roads in Ohio..... "NO! No photos for YOU!" Maps are not accurate either, twisties show as straight lines with a sudden angle if the major coordinates change........


I swear, Ohio is a third world country.......

 

New York State, Route 218 just north of West Point. Winding road goes over Storm King Mountain with the mountain on one side and a cliff with a rock wall on the other overlooking the Hudson River.

 

When we were in Oregon last year...we took a road that ran along the Columbia River. Actually had quite a few natural attractions along the way. Started in Portland and turned at Full Sail Brewery towards Mt. Hood :) Natural waterfalls, overlooks, twisties, power plant. It had it all!

I think it was called Gaundi bridge , I think it goes from tampa to st pete . when i lived in clearwater, this was the place to hit your speed run , Guys would trailer dam near funny cars on friday nite to run down the bridge. it was between 2 countys from what i was told and was never really patroled. I guess thats changed since the hogan accident, From what i hear. Nasty fines for racing in Fl.

I hit 160 mph on a Suzuki GSX 1100 on that bridge , Fastest i've ever driven, Was a pass. at 168 in a wicked camaro back in the day, 2 fastest runs.
I did 150 on that bridge every time i was there, on my 1986 yamaha fazer.
Fun times.

I have never driven on anything like the roads you guys are linking i live in a state thats completely flat!!!! but i do drive on the huey p long bridge. look it up each lane is 5-6 foot wide.

JoeSchmoe - this is in your neighbourhood: one of my favorite roads - Prospect Lake Road from West Saanich Rd. entrance, down to Burnside Road just outside of Victoria.

The first mile or two is near a school, playground and through a residential area, so keep your speed in check. Then it gets interesting with blind off-camber corners (watch the telephone lines overhead for hints on the direction of the turns - at times LOL).

Then double back North to Munns Rd. which turns into Millstream, which eventually drops you back on the Island Hwy (Can #1).

Give it a try, and let me know what you think. I love it on the bike, where you can get a fair amount of air on some of the mini-hills. I took a few from our M/C club a few years down that series of roads, and they were all gaga over it.

It was worth the 975 mile drive for me

Here is Sandwich Notch Rd in the NH White Mountains.

It's mainly a hunting/hiking/camping access road that connects Sandwich NH to Waterville Valley NH.

It seems to be impassable at the point B on this map but it's still winter there and it's not maintained until April.

NO LOW RIDERS! It has 7+ miles of evil dirt road included and will break everything it can.

It was terribly fun in a rented GMC Gimmy after a week straight of rain at the highest speed I could do it at.
