Its really simple hoganj, and you're not being picked on. In order for us to give you an answer that even stands a chance at being half right, we need to know the code/codes set on your HHR.

Just take it to your local auto parts store, like Advance, Autozone, Napa, etc., and have them pull the codes. Its free and they'll give you a printout of what their scan tool finds, once you get those codes, post them up here and we'll point you in the most likely direction.

With HHR's its a case of "been there, done that" on the forum, someone has had the problem you're having, and collectively we can figure it out.....but we need more info.

Its the same deal for you too Demetrius69, take it and have the codes pulled, then post them up here. Once you do that, half the battle is won. And by the way, to the forum!

I'm sorry if I offended you. So as to offer a form of explanation I will say......

When the ESC is illuminated it is an indication of, perhaps, hundreds of different problems. When the code is read, it GREATLY reduces and dependent on the type of equipment and reader, directs the service to a specific area.

But perhaps you didn't know this.

Search function is a great tool, but it won't pull up three letter words such as ESC. However once you get a code you can search the forum and find all posted information on that code.

Lmao, I just did the same thing with the same results.
What did you do to clear the lights? I unhooked the battery, gonna see if that works. Surely don't want to take it to dealer.

As I recall there is about 460 codes I spent about $84.00 for the OBD Can 11 reader at Walmart as I got a price from Amazon and Walmart matched it, just buy a code reader.
