Finally bit the bullet and got the IPCW taillights. Found a crazy deal on fleaBay and grabbed a pair. Amazon has them in several styles occasionally, for around what you would pay for stockers.

What a major pain to install (due to bad instructions and not having the hands of a spider monkey) but what a sweet improvement!

Yesterday.
Went up to the local Lowes store for some PVC pipe. Found out that I could get 5, 10 ft sections of 3/4 inch pipe inside the SS......and close the hatch with a little room to spare. Didn't even have to lower the front passenger seat back.
Just put them between the front seats and into the passenger foot area.
Amazing what you can get inside these little cars.

But your SS, you’re gonna get it dirty, good excuse to spend a day detailing it!
Today is a loss, Sweetie hijacked the HHR and took off out to wine country with 3 of her girl friends , I get to stay home and change the serpentine belt, idler pulleys and belt tensioner and the alternator pulley, on our nieces 2010 Dodge Journey, if you think the HHR battery is hard to get at , find the battery in one!
Then it’s off to the great white north, near Huntsville,Ontario, to inspect a cabin the kids want to purchase.

Is the battery located on driver side, inside the fender just ahead of the tire ?

Yes, under the fuse box, Dodge likes to play hide and seek!

Today a trip to the Eye Doctor, 6 month check up. I’ll be squinting all afternoon, those eye drops mess me up for 12 to 18 hours.
Don’t worry, Sweetie is driving me there and back.

Yep, my Sebring I used to own was the same place. The niche was just big enough for the battery and difficult to slide out. When I went to Auto Zone to get a new one, I told them I wanted the best battery I could buy because that was the last time I wanted to ever replace the battery. A year and a half later, I find myself replacing it again pro-rated no less. So, no more batteries from Auto Zone. When I replaced the headlight bulbs in my HHR, I had deja-vu all over again LOL
