Another cook out day 38C or 101F ... it is hot! But I washed the HHR and the GT, then drove out along the Niagara River to cool off under a shade tree, and watched the boats.

Trying to deal with the "bottom of the driver's door" rust... Stuff sneaks up on you in a hurry around here with the nasty snowmelt chemicals they put on the roads.

Just yesterday some random lady in the parking lot complimented my HHR, though. Musta been the halfazzed wax job I did last week.

Did you put silicon grease on the posts It keeps the cover from sticking in the future. When I did my intake solenoid getting the cover off was the hard part

Happy Independence Day to all the US members.
Yesterday, I finally managed to get my Depos installed (had to let Pep Boys do it, as my DW won't let me get under a jacked-up car anymore).
Anyway, the car looked so good I was motivated to give her a bath and a "rubdown."
I love the Depo side markers, just wish they weren't so pricey and also wish they made the rear side markers too!

After a heavy Spring of hauling the boat the past 3,000 mile's and and around 5,500 on the oil, I decide it was time for oil filer and change, plus with the travel on the dirt roads getting back into my secluded place at the lake, air filter too.

Then rotated the tires for the second time since I bought the 09 LT. Seemed to be riding smooth till this rotation, now I think I have front thats out of balance,, hope it ain't a broken belt, but only really notice it till about 60 to 70 mph. Where I do 90% of my driving. I;ll look at that after the holiday. Hope it's just balancing since I only have 47,000 miles on these original tires, I'd hate to have the old girl 'NOT' all original!!

Happy Independence Day!! and a Big Thank You to all that keep us that way!!

Ordered an AC Delco serpentine belt and tensioner set. An Amazon deal, free shipping, I’m not a prime member, it’ll be here Tuesday, still scorching hot here.

Original '09 tires ? That's at least 9 years old, those tires must be hard as a rock.

That might be your issue, they are so hard & used to spinning in their former position.
