The site has been working nicely for me most of the time lately. Occasionally I will have to enter my user name and password several times and it will say ‘thanks for logging in and click here if your browser doesn’t redirect you automatically.’

But it isn’t the end of the world for me. Although I do spend inordinate amounts of time sitting here on my broken down desk chair reading things on this site, I do occasionally look at other things on other sites, and even on rare occasions get up and do something around the house.

Unfortunately for one user who sent me some PM’s the site not working seems to have run her off. She seems to have taken the replies on one of the threads in the wrong manner and with the site not working correctly was not able to reply in the thread, just through the PM part.

I meant no personal harm to her, its just the way I talk, lots of sarcasm sometimes, but its meant to be taken with a grain of salt. Sometimes a whole box of salt is required.

I run Registery Easy once a week to clear out my computer, which also removes all of my log-in passwords. I too had the problem of having to re-enter my log-in and password in several places.
I found that if you click on "Forums" and then enter the log-in and password, you get right in, first time.
Not sure if this works on every computer, but does for mine.
And, yes, I have had no problems for the past three weeks or so. Mission accomplished!

I didn't have any problems, last night, with access to the forum. But I did notice, at the same time as you Sleeper, the pages loaded VERY slowly. The fastest was 7.85 seconds...slowest was around 19 seconds.

I gave up and opened a book.

I haven't had any log in issues but it was slow to load earlier today. I forgot what time it was at. I just remember thinking here we go again and then it loaded. Otherwise things have been much better.

Snoopy-

I haven't got to the point of timing these issues.. Hopefully I won't ever have to..

BTW: I'm a very avid reader as well.. sometimes a good shop manual will be just the right reading material. ...

How did ya know ???

If you didn't know.....when you go to the Posts list (I use NEW POSTS), at the top of the list, on the right and in the horizontal band is the time it takes to load that page.

Search took 0.06 seconds.
