Site edits | Hope it fixes log in problems
All new members when signing up to the site must go through the activation process. They need to click an activation code they get in an email that is sent to them to the address on file that they signed up with. Until they are activated they remain in 'awaiting email activation' user group. Once they click through, they get moved into the moderation que. Once in there, I manually approve or reject them rather quickly.
That member has not activated their clicker though email. This is why they are not allowed to post yet as they have not gone though the steps needed to be moved to the moderation que then to the registered users group.
I am in communications with her to get her going here.
I have also sent a couple of request activation codes to be sent to her email address as well. Sometimes, it is the member themselves that are the hold up or that email gets lost somewhere along the way.
So.... yes, someone is on the ball here.
So moving forward, if anyone gets an email or PM from someone with issues along those lines of registration problems, forward them to me so I can address it and get it taken care of.

We really owe the new members and apology, imagine joining up all excited with your new HHR and constantly hitting brick walls head on with the forum. I had a PM exchange with a very nice lady yesterday who asked me for help with her key fobs, she's been a "member" since the middle of September and she's still not allowed to post.
You know what I proposed sleeper and sadly you also know it will go nowhere. The lady from yesterday is very enthusiastic and really hopes to be a part of this group, but how long will she hang on waiting...and how long will other new members put up with this silliness and inability to preform even the simplest functions on the forum?
Its time for someone to wake the hell up and do something for the good of this site and this community, before it goes away....and I sure don't want to see that happen.

Thanks for looking into the situation and explaining your side of things Sindy, the brick wall I was referring to was not you by any means...it was a reference to the continued site problems like the error messages and database problems that are plaguing us of late.
I did not mean to imply you're not on the ball, but I do think that the "Administrator" needs to occasionally get involved to keep things up here. The server issues could have been dealt with very quickly and efficiently either by the aforementioned Administrator or by you if you had the authority to switch servers etc.
So please accept my apology for offending you, and like the case of Carrie from NC last week, I do always forward things like the member with activation issues to you.

Just askin'. Check out the following thread......
here.
I won't be the only one banned - or shouldn't be. We can scour the "Site Development and Help" threads and ban everyone that has had a disparaging word. Then we'll see how strong the "Community" is. I think only newbies would be left. I don't mean to throw anyone under the bus, but there's plenty of people that have pretty well said the same thing I have in different and the same ways.
And as far as having the problems with the site and clearing cookies and cache, I use CCleaner every night before I shut down (deleting history and cookies as has been suggested) and still have problems with slow loading and getting the dreaded 404 error. My posting has dropped off dramatically due to this problem. I have learned so much in the past couple of months and would like to continue learning, and maybe helping others, but the constant problems are frustrating to say the least.
I developed and administered a couple of web sites over the years, so I know they do take some watching - or at least some occasional interaction. When my other work was interfering with the web sites, I knew it was time for someone else to take over.
