Interior Trim Buzz (Specifically, passenger door)

I was wondering if anyone has any trim buzz in their HHR with "spirited" stereo listening? :)

The specific area is the passenger door, the faux chrome strip down the side. If I merely touch it with my finger, a very loud annoying buzz goes away.

I would like to know if anyone has an idea for a simple fix. I'm afraid if I pull the panel I'll create 3 more buzzes!

'Xspandy foam in the door......
Ok-OK, no xspandy foam in the door, bad idea...
Try this..you can pull the bottom of the door panel loose and find something, piece of foam that has a very small crushed height, or something of that nature that you can work into place to act as a cushion,,, this way you do not have to completly remove the door panel....should cure the noise....better yet..remove all door panels and install BXT deadener material....great stuff

Well, my problem (appears to be) not the whole door panel. It is only the silver band that goes across the door under the handle.

And from what I can tell, that part isn't removable to wedge anything in....

I think if I put something in the bottom of the door panel where it attaches it won't help me with this one area.

I could be wrong!

I've had my car for a week and I've got a similar noise coming from the passenger side. I haven't investigated it yet, but this may be a common problem. It almost sounds like electricity.. I'll post tomorrow with what I find.

I did solve one noise issue though. There was a rattling noise whenever I hit any kind of bump. It sounded as if it were coming from the boost gauge or A pillar area. Well, it turned out to be the garage door remote that I put in the door pouch... I can put up with being a dork as long as there isn't a real problem!!

Its a very common noise. The only good way to fix it is to drill the plastic welds that hold it on out. Then take raamat, dynamat or whatever and place behind it and glue it back on. Mine does it also, i just havent taken the time to fix it. There is also a buzz/rattle behind the outside door handle. I cant figure out what it is. It will drive you batty, its very resonant at 200hz.

Hmmm..I must be lucky.. I have no door rattles unless I leave something in the pockets....currently waiting for another roll of Ramat for under the carpet.
