Low dust brake pads for SS?

I'm looking for front brake pads for my '08 SS (standard brakes). I want to get them installed at wherever I buy them from. Is there somewhere like a Midas or Merlins that has a good warranty and carries brake pads that dust much less than the stockers? I hate how much dust covers my front wheels. I've done a search on here and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

I would Go with a Ceramic pad, they are usually low dust. I swear by them.

Wow. FWIW, I know this has been discussed (and cussed) many times on this forum. Maybe the dust issue came up during some regular talk of brakes and/or pads. Try another search or just wait:somebody will chime in here.
I hate the dust also. Plan on going with EBC Red Stuff pads for my Brembos once the originals wear out.

ACDelco makes a ceramic replacement (17D1379C) for the Brembos which is very reasonably priced (less than $60). I bought a set but decided to use the stock Ferodo pads.

Surprisingly, I didn't see any ACDelco ceramics for the JL9 non-Brembo SS. I only see the ACDelco OE service part 171-1039.

Thanks for the info and part #. I did not know AC Delco had a ceramic pad for the Brembos. The EBC's are $107.

Are all ceramic pads low dust? Could I just go to the dealer and request ceramic pads? They seem to have a deal going right now.

Yes, you could go to the dealer, but they probably won't have ceramics in stock, plus the cost is going to be higher. Since you don't have Brembo's, you should have more choice of brand availability. Check around your local parts stores and see what they have.
