Have you tried the Southern Style Sweet Tea sold by Arizona? As about as close as you can get from the store.

1st...ya gotta boil the water and tea bags, or make it in the coffee maker
with the tea bag strings hangin out of the side.

For a 10 cup coffee maker, use 10 tea bags. Yep, 1 bag per cup.

If ya make it in the coffee maker, ya gots to cut it with more water. 50-50

It's real easy, pour the coffee maker tea into a pitcher, add sugar, and then
refill the coffee pot with water to cut it down. Stir, chill and enjoy.

Ya gotta add sugar while it is still HOT, so as to have the sugar disolve
completely. About 1 cup of sugar per gallon of tea.

True Southerners don't do sun tea....it ain't strong enuf......LOL

I agree accept that to get the best "Sweet" tast you brew the suger witht he tea. It melts completly and gives it that real "Sweet" tast thru and thru. All the Best BBQ places in Texas brew the Sugar (or Honey) into the Tea. As for Sun tea we make it but only the ones not born in the south!

I like my tea unsweetened.
It's nasty with sugar in it.
