Really wish more of you could have made it up to The Smokies with us! It was a beautiful weekend ... with the exception of a thunderstorm late in the day Saturday, the weather fully cooperated with us. Highs in the 80's with wispy clouds against a blue sky. My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who drove up to be a part of this event. I really enjoyed meeting new friends and meeting up again with members of the MidTNHHR.net group. Those that made the Dragon run really spent some quality time behind the wheel of their HHR. The drive out there was a bit long (about an hour and twenty) but the scenery through the Smokies and then along the Foothills Parkway was absolutely gorgeous. Very little traffic, so the drive was relaxing and enjoyable. The Dragon is really incredible -- as they say up there, one good turn deserves 317 more! They are really cracking down on speeders and reckless drivers on the Dragon -- there were three VW GTIs getting tickets in the first few curves as we started up the Dragon.

Thanks Tim for your hard work making all the arrangements and all others for the great time! It was a pleasure to meet so many great HHR owners. I also hope many others will come to the next one.

I wish I had noticed earlier and posted that everyone come down a day early for the Rib-Wing Fest that was held in downtown Gatlinburg on Thursday. The food and music was fantastic. So if we do this again next year... maybe we can start a day early and enjoy the Smokies even more!

Thanks Tim for all your hard work on this and all others that had a hand in G2G. Deb and I had a nice time while we were there. We got to Ill. On sunday, wake on monday, burried My Dad on tuesday. Sorted thrue his estate and we were back on saturday. Was a very sad 6 days.
