I just got back from a week in Colorado and was surprised to see a big majority of the HHR's without running boards.

I live here in Colorado, and i dont have running boards, the car is not high enough to warrant them.

I'm here and would love to get together with both liasd and outlandishhhr if you'd like. Only a couple people are here from the Colorado area...one being myself, another being HaysHotRod from Thornton, and forgive me for not remembering their screen name w/o a search, but someone from Windsor and another from South Denver I believe. Let me know what you guys would like to do and I'd be glad to contact the others to see what we can put together.

Outlandishhhr, not sure what you mean the car is not high enough to warrant running boards, except if you're talking about them actually being used. Biggest reason for having them is to protect the rear panels of the car from being sandblasted and having paint damaged.

MrVette...I would venture to guess the reason most don't have them is because the dealer doesn't know about the paint issue...or just don't care. I would also venture to guess that now that the boards come unpainted that if they do suggest them, they make alot more on the car doing them after the fact than they do if they come on the car.

Sorry for the thread hijack. Please PM me if you're interested in a get together guys and I'll PM the others here and see if they are interested and direct them to this thread.
