We used to machine them out & press in Steel liners. Then they lasted.

Best was to just add a V-8, I miss my 72 Wagon...That hauled fine with a 283"
73 Wagon - 350/TH350 and tubbed.......back in the early 80's. Car twisted so bad we had to junk it. Yep the disposable 4 cyl made great boat anchors. Fun car, did parking lot wheelies.

Cool

Not knowing in detail what all is hidden under neath the patch, I'm still suspicious of them replacing the "flap over the evaporator" thing but I was told by the dealer that they also sealed the butyl patch to the cowl. This hurt the pocket book a little, but better them than I since I'm not really good at working on cars and don't really have the desire to do so.

Although I haven't had the chance to do a thorough look around, it looks like the Dealer did a good job of drying out the carpet. I did a cursory function check of the stereo, heater, ac, as a sanity check for any possible electrical issues are still working...so for now I'm a happy .

On a side note, although this weekend is tight with family commitments, when's the next G2G? I feel like driving up north for a burger with the SoCal Peeps

Happy Holidays folks!!

[quote=grumpee;513460]i guess with the amount of rain southern california's been getting, a typical hhr problem raised it's ugly head. This afternoon leaving work i pull out of the parking lot and i hear this gurgling sound. Look down and i see 2 inches of water on the passenger side carpet.quote]

Joe,

Only way to know is too pull the cowl. open the glove compartment and pullthe ca bin air filter - Me thinks you'll find it soaking wet. The tray it sits in is where the water collects. Moving the car basically spills it over the lip of the filter tray - kind of like a sloppy bar maid
