There is also a big car show event in Monterey that will be mostly out at the race track. I know some of my friends from the Solstice group will be up there on the track. We may get to see some nice cars along the way. Keep the cameras handy!

Well, today is the day! Is everyone excited?!? Is everyone rushing to do last minute things as I am?

I've got my radios all charged up and we will set them to regular channel 7 as Keith suggested. That way even if people don't have sub-channels they can still talk to us.

We're leaving at 4PM and meeting a few people along the way. We should be arriving at the hotel around 6:30 or so. We'll go hang out around the indoor pool and look for people as we get ready to go to dinner around 7:30. In case someone doesn't find me, we always stay in room 241. It is the end room facing the ocean, upstairs on the northern side of the hotel. There will be a black HHR parked in front.

I think someone from every group coming in has my cell number. If anyone else needs it, just PM me before 4PM today and I will send it to you.

 

We prolly wont get out of the high desert until after sunset! Boooo!

 

Bummer... but at least you'll have a cooler drive. And the best scenery will be tomorrow anyway.

 

You all enjoy the nice cool ocean... Mother-in-Law is doing better but it's just as well we don't go we both would be worried all weekend..... Drive safe and have a cool one for us.......

More proof that prayers work! Glad to hear it, Lee. Maybe if mom is feeling okay tomorrow you and the Mrs can just head over to Monterey for a bit to meet us for lunch. Looks like you are only about two hours away.

Either way... We'll have lots of good pictures and stories to share next week.

 

Great run today! We just got back to the hotel a little bit ago and we're getting ready for dinner. One thing about car runs, you do a lot of eating!

We had a good turnout and I really appreciate everyone taking the time. It was nice to meet all of you.

We had 7 show up altogether, although one is missing from this group shot. More photos will be coming.

We're all still having fun on the coast tonight and will be heading back home tomorrow. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures myself!

I want to thank Dale for setting the Coast Run up. It was well planned. It was good to see the people again that were at Solvang and to meet all the others too. It was a good friendly group.
