Hey you all - sorry I didn't hook up with the group.

By the time I got thru the Carmel Valley Road from 101, I figured you all had headed south. So, I headed that way looking for you all - figured I'd run into you all somewhere. Didn't see you in San Simeon either...

You all had some GREAT weather - and the weekend after Labor Day made traffic on Hwy 1 very NICE and light!

Sorry we missed you, Keith. What time was it that you were around? We didn't leave Monterey till close to 3PM. I tried to call you several times between 11 and 3 but got no answer.

We got back to the hotel in San Simeon between 6:30 and 7:00. Left for dinner right down the road about 7:30.

It would have been nice to have had your SSR in some of the photos... But there will be other times I am sure. Some people said they felt like this was a good enough run to repeat next year.

 

I got to Hwy 1 South of Monterey at abot 2pm - figured I just missed you and headed south!

I didn't get cell service back until past Cambria...

(Hung out at the BBQ place until about 6:30 - was back in Kingsburg by 9:30p)

 

Nice cars and would loved to have been their. I have only drove the coast once in my life and it was beautiful.

 

glad to hear you guys had a great time! now who's going to post the pics?

 

Hey kwhopper89, were you on the 41 heading back? Because I was trailing a yellow SSR on my way back until I moved past it then it trailed me right up until about lemoore. Sorry you did'nt meet up with the group, would have liked to meet you and check that SSR out.

 

Keith, dinner at the BBQ place was Friday night. Saturday we stayed in San Simeon so you would have missed us anyway... Sorry about that.

Oh! And thanks to Sindy for showing up with some nice giveaways! Chuck won a hand of dashboard poker to get a full size road ripper and the rest of us got the small remote control ones! Just icing on the cake of an already great weekend run...

Seeing Bud's 'Harvey' was great too! What a great ride he has built.

 

Yep - that was me - I wasn't sure if you were part of the group - there were lots of lone HHR's sighted Saturday. Just before you passed me, my radar detector went nuts - when I saw it was a HHR that passed me I was hoping that you wouldn't get a ticket!!! After the alerts stopped - I picked up the speed and caught back up with you - right at the Hwy 198 offramp! (I always remember too late that the Lemoore Naval Air Station radar makes my detector go crazy in that area!!!)
