Scott is more than 5 hours away. His wife, kid and maybe inlaws will be coming in his HHR though. We will also take pictures of everything he missed.

I believe that Scott is in Iraq, but I am not sure.

I am still trying to work out whether I will be able to join the group, in the meantime, I wanted to offer a couple of comments. Be sure to check out the motorcycle museum in Solvang before you head home, very small, but some unique bikes. Regarding Cold Springs Tavern, it is a very cool place and worth stopping at, but be prepared for having to park along the road (where it sweeps around to the right past the Tavern) it can be crowded on weekends and may have a few motorcycle riders there. Hope to see you!

Unhappy As much as I'd like to go for this cruise,

I am scheduled to work that weekend.
It is a shame to, because my vacation starts on the 11th.
I will be going to the Castle Air Force Base Open House on Memorial Day weekend though.
Looking at that cruise itinerary map, that will be some long drive in the mountains, along the coast and near a lake and all other points of interest. Are you sure you can do it all in just 4 hours?
You all have fun though.

Scott is working in Iraq. We will be home for a break in late June. We are hoping the year will be all he does and that will be up in Feb of next year.

too bad, pappa smurf, we'd love to have you. that's the great thing about especially my area of Cali, we CAN hit a lake, ocean, and mountains in a matter of a couple hours haha.

c2vette, it'd be great if you can join us. maybe you know of a good parking lot we could end this in? we'd like it centrally located for shopping purposes, but would be open enough midday on a Saturday that we will all fit. i was thinking the large public lot right by the park? thoughts?

damn.
Looked at the map and I could only do this as a day thing--leave OC really early in the morning (no traffic on 405 that time) and come back late afternoon (to lots of traffic I am sure!). Be nice to meet some NorCal folks.

If I go it will be a last minute decision...gotta think about it.
