We are hoping to make this run/event. Previously we have made plans to go to Disneyland (our favorite place on earth) on the 20th. So if we are to get our act together (vacation packing) early, we just might be able to join you all.

This run/event looks like it would be a fabulous experience and FUN with Great company.
Let us know when y'all are coming down -- the SoCal contingent would meet up with you at AJ's or Pink's here in the OC. We're always up for a g2g and food.

Well, You know ... We were actually looking up if the So-Cal folks were having a dine and G2G, but didnt see any planned or scheduled.
We are planning on being in DL for five days. We couldn't resist not watching the new water show (World of Color) on the first opening week.

We have been known to plan g2g's at a moments notice and have like 15-20 HHR's show up. What dates are you here?

Our planned dates in the OC / DL are June 20th Sunday through June 25th Friday.
We plan on arriving late in the afternoon(Sunday), coming in on the 210 pasadena frwy to the 56 (I think thats the one) then into Anaheim.
On our way home (Friday), we plan on going to New Port and Huntington beaches.

That is exactly what we were thinking. We were getting hammered over here in the bay area from this recent weather system. You would have thought it was still winter or something. Burrrr - COLD.

This storm wasn't a big deal. You might be surprised at how fast the snow will melt. I'm going to predict that the road will be open for this run. There will be some snow visible at the higher elevations but the road will be open by the 3rd week of June, no problem. Maybe much sooner. You guys can razz me if I'm wrong

I live in the Sierra Nevada and it's not that unusual to get snow in May but we are at about 150% snow pack so it might take a loooong time for it to melt off. If we keep getting storms once a week like we are it might not be open.

We won't know until we get within a week or so of the drive.
