Cheri-

Sounds like yours is just asking for some attention in the form of new shocks.
Maybe it also needs a good run on the Hi-Way, Blow it out like old days..

Not throwing any lights, (codes) is it ?

I know its not politically correct, but I think when you get Mitzi back, she just wants an "Italian Tune Up"....get her out on the highway and blow the snot out of her for a few miles. Then slap on some new struts and shocks, she'll love ya for it.

Perhaps we can head to Staples and get an "Easy" button to modify?

Well, what Cheri is not saying about her "06" is that I doubt that it has 20,000 miles on it. Maybe shocks and struts are bad, but I doubt it. As far as getting it out on the freeway and blowing out...that is a definitely a possibility. I only put the highest octane in mine, I don't know about her. I know Cheri has a cold air intake. I will go over when she gets it back from the shop and see how it compares to mine. As far as the ride goes...I have no clue. I have 20's and no sidewall with Eibach prokit springs. When I ride in anyone's HHR it feels like a caddy to me! Todd (Uma)

Todd-
Doesn't get any more honest that that !!

Maybe a load of the Best Hi-Test & your foot on the Go pedal for a nice stretch... Hopefully that'll do it..

Blew the snot out of an HHR tonight, getting the dog to the ER...too bad it was a rental...

Thanks Todd, but I'm almost up to 25 thou on the car...I'm a drivin' dudette!!

I just can't wait to have you come drive her. Of course I think I spent the shock/strut money on the stupid dog.

CODES: Yeah, we occasionally get the traction control light on, and a little chugging, then it stops and we don't see it again. Last time it did that, the dealer replaced a bunch of stuff but could never get it to happen for them. I refuse to mention it to the dealer until I can duplicate it upon command!!!

Off topic, watching Larry the Cable Guy's new show on the History Channel...find it, it rocks!

I am only authorized to get a car in the same category as the HHR... care to guess what it will be? I mean, it's a truck, it's a wagon, it's a SUV, it's a crossover, what is an HHR, really?

Oh, and I'm already guessing it will be white, or maybe some silvery, un-Cheri-like hue. I'll manage, somehow.
That's funny, because a rental HHR is probably why I own one today.
Was driving a '03 Focus wagon - had it since early 2005. On Oct. 27th of 2010, I was driving over the Cascade mountains from Springfield to Bend, Oregon. It had snowed up there the 2 previous days, but was clear this morning. I got distracted and drifted into some slush between the lanes. Tires iced up and I lost control. Hit a big snowbank on the right and rolled the Focus over - once. Flatbeded it back down the mountain, reported the claim to my insurance co. from the body shop, and then Enterprise 'picked me up' as they say. Put me in a 2010 HHR 1LT. Didn't like the really thick pillars at first, but I liked the way it drove. ...The Focus got totalled. And here we are. I was glad I had a chance to drive one first for about 10 days or so - was able to decide I really wanted one with the 2.4 instead of the 2.2 that the rental had; and I wanted a moonroof to allow some more light into the rather claustrophobic interior. (Had a moonroof in the Focus, too...)
