I've been there and what's even better than the cars is the pipe organ and other instruments on the third floor of the museum. Nothing like hearing the Phantom of the Opera on a couple hundred pipes! I didn't see any food there, but the group I went with drove about a mile to a BBQ joint nearby that was worth the trip in itself.

I just found it, The BBQ place it The Bear Pit http://bearpitbbq.com/

This sounds like such fun and I'd die to hear that pipe organ too. DRAT!

Unfortunately, with housebreaking a young pup, we can't be gone very long this spring/summer, a reality check which was just delivered to me by Catz.

It looks like we will need short G2G's close to home, and that means missing a lot of fun. WE SHALL RETURN!!

Did a pre-run today with the "fan club" and picked this up. There is plenty of parking.

Is this thing still in the works? I might try to find day-care for my babypup...or D says he would stay home and stay with the kids. Even the bearpit sounds neat.

When are we talking about, or did this one fizzle?

It is not still in the works, Kris has told me to tell everyone that she has not had time to do the leg work on this thing. So, she thinks we should reschedule. Todd (Uma)

Red face So, a delay on this one then.

Yeah, I didn't see a lot of the usual message traffic on this one. Didn't look like this one was really going to happen. But, some time soon we can give it another go. That is fine by me. Summer is coming though and it may be harder to get the group together again. I know I'm still a newbie and haven't been to many of these g2g's, but was looking forward to this one.
The Bear Pit sounded like a good idea to.

Well, selfishly I am glad! I LOVE museums and was disappointed I was going to miss it.
Regardless, it is a great idea Kris, and we should definitely put this on the SoCal calendar.
