Tried of waiting for Jeff to return my call - so Larry searched for a pinstriper closer to home. Wanted to make sure the car was ready for San Diego so we went to the shop today for an estimate. The Owner looked and said -no problem, lets do it right now. Well 20 minutes later - done - no charge! Larry gave him $20 and he was happy. Shop is California Stripes, Owner Rick. He is not interested in working car shows but we left him a card to check out any of our activities. He has raced his car #24 at Irwindale. Very nice guy.

That is great to hear Marilyn! We all learned a lesson about Jeff Styles didn't we. Another striper will be sought out for this year at Tom's. No more sketchy dudes!

Marilyn, so glad to here you got your pinstriping fixed and for free. That was so cool that owner did that for you and Larry. See you in San Diego, if not before.

Thanks Moon, dropped him a line when I got my HHR but haven't seen him in a while since he's in Boulder Creek and I'm in Hayward. He'll know me by sab1955, been using that for years. Used to be real ralph and sab illustrated in the wild and crazy 80's before we realized we had to become responsible Dads.
