I will talk to the Chevy dealer and see how serious he is.

Also I like the Angelos idea from Todd. I don't know if they still do the roller skating car hops or not? We could go for lunch (sleep in) and then cruise over to Super Autobacs on Beach. It is geared to the tuners of OC but we could get their attention. They have some good prices on detailing products and lots of accessories.

I am all for cruising outside of the OC too. I am trying to hit at least 1 car show a month this year for my boss (it is a company car after all) and even plan on hitting the San Diego area since we have a branch down there too.

I will let you all know.
I also will drive for a one day thing, an overnight stay is getting iffy, but like La Canada, I am in...just need notice. Angelos in Anaheim is a good idea...maybe just because when I started the Camaro club we hung out there all the time...and that is where Cheri flagged me down to get into this group. So..whatever, I am in! Anyone needing any help setting something up, I will try to help.Todd(Uma)

One of the joy's of my car is driving it--so if you folks were able to make it to the OC at 6 am, I can make it somewhere else at that time if need be!

I like informal too!
100% behind you, I'll drive also, Todd(Uma)

Coming out of the fog (finally got a name for it NOROVIRUS - avoid at all costs!)... I'm so happy to hear all the brainstorming. I think even if we just throw out ideas, they may not catch at one time, and suddenly may sound perfect later on, so we just need to keep track of the ideas we are hearing.

I'll take that on.

I have received a skeleton list of car events for my hubby's club for the whole next year, and that make it so easy. However, I find the endless "1st Friday", "2nd Saturday" events to get tiresome and soon feel less apt to attend them. I much prefer the unusual events where I get to go somewhere or see something I haven't seen repeatedly.

On the other hand, repeated events help those of us who ARE CONSTANTLY SICK! to finally getting around to experiencing them.

Just my opinions. Here are a few more:

I would be more apt to drive a distance with more than 30 day notice.

Informal is good, informal and cheap is real good

Solvang is divine; would love to see Laughlin; Lake Arrowhead; The Mother Road; and yes, even Arizona.

I know the Modesto group would LOVE to see us visit them, and are even thinking of a meet in the middle.

I'd be up for a picnic beach party and afternoon/evening at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. BIRTHPLACE OF "LOST BOYS" and all those "dang vampires". I'd camp overnight too, and would organize it.

Who else has a pet project they'd like to host? Toss it out... can't be worse than what I hear on American Idol right now!

TK, I'd be glad to do up a list of activities coming up, and keep it current if no one else is doing it. I wonder if Sindy could get us a stickie regional post and edit it just make threads per event.

AI is really bad so far this year!
Haven't been to Solvang in decades--be nice to drive out that way.

Since I travel for work, I too need a good 30 day notice for things, but am looking forward to attending what I can!

We didn't do too bad parking together at the donut shop. I didn't know all the classics were going to be there. Us all leaving at the same time turned some heads. There was even a pickup on the street that stopped so we could all get out together.

As far as anything in Feb, I won't be able to attend. Work just got VERY BUSY, and I'll be working 7 days a week for the next few plus the water damage to my house is getting fixed in Feb.

Had a great time at the meet.

Mitzkitty, sorry u were not there, but glad u r feeling better.
