How do you figure? The one I posted is SS only the other one is both SS and not SS. Same wires different artist. The only difference is where they placed the #1 and #2 terminals on the yaw sensor.

In other words; in 2008 only the SS had ESC.

Yes, that’s how I figure. The 2008 HHR SS is unique.

Same terminal numbers, just in different places. no difference between 1,2 and 2,1 the wires from each go to the same spots.

1 and 2 are in different locations in the 2009 / 2010 from the 2008.

In the drawing. The connectors are different, but the same wire end points; i.e.: CAN+, CAN-, low ref, 12V ref. So, an enterprising individual could make them interchange. Odd that the schematics both say 5 volt ref and the connectors say 12 volt.; my bet is 5 volt ref is correct.

Great information. But I don’t think that the sensor from a 2009 / 2010 should be installed in a 2008, not at that price!

An update:

The sensor is working fine now.

My son's friend had spilled a drink alongside the console, right where the yaw sensor. After drying everything out and wiping the sensor and connector, everything is working fine.

I first heard about the "wet sensor connector" issue from a Pontiac Solstice forum, which uses the exact same yaw sensor as the 2008 HHR SS.
