I went the total cheap route and bought the eBay kit $59.00. They ship not far from me and should be here Tuesday. We’re going to take a look the before installing, it’s says they have sold 1200+ (hopefully not to the same guy). I did do something a little off and bought the SAAB water pump. It said genuine SAAB, has the same GM part number and the casting on the body reads GM. It was only $80.00 complete with sprocket and back plate. $213.00 was net cost on the dealer pump, it looks exact. I’ll compare everything, I can and try to apply some type of rating to them. If the chains don’t look right I won’t use them. So far I’m into all the parts for $240.00 and that includes the $12 actuators.... fingers crossed. Hope she hold out until Wednesday night, it’s about 300 more miles.

Even my cheap Evergreen kit , I bought as a spare for $35.00, had GM numbers on the chains and sprockets and guides, so you should be ok.
The cam sprockets won’t be the same for your VVT sprockets

You're playing with fire now, or ax body spray.

Saab was a GM brand, before they gutted it.

Saab developed the Ecotec after they bought it off Aston Martin, then GM scooped them up.

The Manual trans is a Saab unit. Period. GM had no other manual that could handle this application.

I hope your chains themselves are OEM-level. That would be highest priority. Glad you caught it, and got some help to do the work. Best of luck!

I miss mine terribly...
