I've noticed that while keeping it at a steady 75mph on the highway I can get 32-34mpg on the highway. Or I can get 29mpg at 80 mph. It must be the way the motor was broken in, if I try to cruise at 60-65 mph I get 22mpg! Weird since I'm GM tuned and modded.....

I've noticed that the SS's best fuel economy is 70~75 (115Km/h)

The SS was born to run!

I have about 4 miles of town with lights then open road posted 55 I run around 62 for the 13 miles to work.

starts at 26.8 in town and by the time I pull into work it is 27.2 then on the way home driving through town it gets back to 26.8 through town to the house.

I have 61500 miles on my 06 and it hasn't seen a dealer since I got it 4 1/2 years ago with 32,000 on it.

On my roadtrip in the summer I averaged 25.8 mpg. Mostly 2-lane highway, some city, no freeways. Rarely going easy on the gas pedal and sometimes downright foolish!

I was pleased with the mileage.

My MPG seems to have improved a bit as I accumulate miles (now over 55,000). On my daily commute 66 miles roundtrip, over a mountain pass at an average of about 55 mph using 4th and 5th I can avg 29 MPG. Just one 3rd gear full boost pass will drop the average to 26.5 MPG.

I do mostly city and my right foot loves to go down too much. I typically only overage 20-22. Even on the short bits of highway I do... at 80-90mph cruising speed I simply don't get better mpg.

Nah... death wish was back in the day and why I got rid of my rocket... cruising speed back then was like 130mph... pass a cop and now be doing 160+ mph. All different POVs really.

I used to get 19mpg when I lived in NY and drove city driving. Since moving to CT and commuting to NY (50 miles each way), I have now shot up to 23-25 mpg. I have hit 26 once. I probably could get better but I am doing 65-75 all the time......with a few 80-100 mph bursts.........
