Don't forget to have a look at the bypass valve.

i cannot find a place to buy a spring only for that most want to sell the entire assembly. I didn’t find one place that offered a billet part that you can unscrew to change the springs. What in the bypass valve goes bad just the spring?

Spring could go bad.
Diaphram could go bad.
Even the vacuum line to it could be a problem.

There are several companies that offer replacement BPV's for our cars.
I'm using the Forge unit. Satisfied with it. Plus it comes with 2 different springs depending on your need.

ok pressure tested intercooler and all duct work to 20psi no leaks noted.

Replaced the temp/boost sensor. In the cold side pipe going into the intake.

Turned the nuts on the wastegate rod one turn to shorten rod and increase boost. Remember max boost ever seen is 8psi.

Drove the car. First couple of runs 10psi no issues. Third run 8 psi flagged code.

Cycled key. Jumped on the toll way made 4 runs to 10psi. No issues. Actually punched it to go around someone and flagged code.

Cycle key made 3 pulls so far to 10 PSi no issues.

Could it be the boost solenoid? Thinking that more than a map sensor. Also pulled bypass valve out cleaned it up and put it back in. Didnt see any defects. Or noticeable issues.

Also going to adjust the wastegate rod some more to get her get her closer to 15 psi.

Any additional rhoughts?

The ZZ performwnce kit is pretty sweet and install wasn’t that bad at all.

Additional rhought?

Ok so after everything replaced still popped code for u see boost. So I started adjusting the rod in the waste gate. Went one turn shorter brought me up about 2 lbs roughly. But still got code. So I went 2 more rounds with the adjustment nuts. It went to 14 PSi and popped the code P0234 for overboost. Been driving and playing with it and if the car goes over 10psi as indicated on the gauge on the door pillar it pops the code for overboost. Adjusted the rod back down 1 turn and it keeps the car around 9-10 lbs of boost and doesn’t set any codes. Not sure if being an 08 model and the first year for them they changed things moving forward, but obviously my car will never see 14-16 lbs of boost as others have indicated. But seeing how it’s a daily driver it’s all good. I can say one thing since I installed the ZZP intercooler and ducts the car seems to accelerate quicker and at lower boost settings. Which is cool. And on the occasion that I get on it hard she runs to 10psi pretty quick and moves pretty good.

Thank all all you guys for you help. I greatly appreciate it.

If all the vacuum/pressure lines for the 2 solenoids are good, and the vacuum tank itself is good, I would be thinking about the bypass solenoid, or the bypass valve.

I don't understand why the P0234 would set at only 14 PSI, strange. Maybe the adjustment was keeping the wastegate from opening?

Think about a way to test the tank and lines. Maybe pull the vacuum line off the intake manifold, and put some pressure into it.

Maybe the gauge is no good, or the data it's getting is no good.
