Front brakes rotors, and sway bar end links are on the vehicle. Had a hard time with the back pads, could not get them over the rotor, couldn't compress the piston in far enough, losing my strength at my age...
so off tomorrow to the shop, they are putting the back ones on for a slight fee
Steering feels good, tires feel great, and the brakes, a very big improvement over the stock pads. Can't wait to get the rears installed......

figured out why I couldn't get the back pads over the rotor, and that is because I needed a certain tool to rotate the piston back into the bore. found the tool at Sears and will be doing it myself this weekend. and here I thought I was losing my strengh....
having the right tools sure makes a difference.............

Not weird, talking about the rear calipers, you may be stronger than me but not being used to the type of setup in the rear, I didn't realize how they had to be retracted. Used to the C3 Vettes, where changing out pads on all four wheels, it was and still is a snap.....

job is completed

finished up putting the rear pads on a few hours ago, what a difference when you have the correct tools to do the job. also figured out things as I went along, the last rear wheel took me half the time than the other rear wheel.

so I now have 4 new tires, 2 sway bar end links, new brake pads and rotors all the way around. took out for a test drive, bedded the brakes somewhat, they stop great and no noise. and these tires ride nice, keeping 30psi in them at all times. so I should be good for another 100,000 miles.....

tire and brake updates........

turned 68000 miles tonight, so there are a 1000 miles on the new tires and brakes.......
the updated report is.....I highly recommend these tires or a tire of your choice other than the stock tires. The Pilot A/S Plus are a very big PLUS for me, especially during the last snow storm. No trouble what-so-ever in getting around in the snow. They grab much better, more predictable in the snow, don't loose traction nearly as much as the stock tires did in this type of weather. A big improvement over stock and a feeling that you are in control of the vehicle, not the opposite.
Same can be said abouth the new brake pads and rotors. More secure stopping power, not even the slightest hint of fade, they just plain stop!!!
Did the final brake pad bedding this AM before I got to work as recommended by EBC.
Overall, extremely satisfied with the results......made a great difference on the SS.....
